Creating well detailed maps is often a complex undertaking. The collection of underlying data is time consuming and expensive. Difficult to access areas are also a problem. VITO is currently developing an innovative earth observation system able to continuously provide high resolution aerial images.
Accurate to the finest detail
Our experts use images from the HALE-UAV (High Altitude Long Endurance Aerial Unmanned Vehicle) earth observation system as the basis for detailed maps. We develop automatic image processing systems which correct and analyse raw aircraft images. Structures, buildings, waterways and roads are highlighted in the finest detail. This offers you an accurate basis for perfectly legible maps. Difficult to access areas are no longer a problem.
Always up-to-date
By recording our remote sensing data periodically or even continuously, you are able to easily monitor urban changes. This dynamic approach offers great support for those involved with city planning, spatial planning or map production. City expansions can be quickly highlighted via comparisons between past and present situations.
