Controlling the essential properties of your product
Supercritical fluids are extremely well suited to control the physical properties of powders for the pharmaceutical industry or bio-industry. As solvents they are able to quickly and effectively precipitate substances such as a powder. Simultaneously, they are able to control the morphology of the powder. This allows you to determine the critical properties, such as particle distribution or porosity.
Supercritical fluids can also easily reduce the viscosity of a solution. This allows the solutions to be sprayed finer or at lower temperatures.

The way in which you implement supercritical CO2 depends on the morphology requirements you set for your powders.
