Quality control in the reuse of waste

In the present strategy, waste materials are reused where possible for useful applications (cradle to cradle). In some recycling processes however there can be a risk of accumulating substances to undesirable concentrations. Therefore a good quality control is important in the search for sustainable solutions. VITO is contributing to the development of a proper monitoring strategy using chemical and biological methods.
