Accurate predictions
In order to correctly estimate the environmental impact of your waste water disposal, you first need to know how all components behave in water. VITO uses dynamic models which consider the relevant chemical and physical processes to which the substances are subjected. From the simulations we then derive measures to best restrict dispersion, and thus the impact on the environment.
Legislative authorities are demanding ever more accurate models to determine such risks. This is why VITO continuously develops new models or refines existing ones. This allows VITO to obtain very precise predictions for a wide variety of polluting substances.
From effect evaluation to targeted remediation
Indirect calculations from physicochemical tests no longer form the only basis for impact analyses. Legislative authorities will soon obligate you to directly quantify the toxic impacts. VITO performs toxicity tests on your waste water and identifies the substances which are responsible for the toxic impact. We advise you on process changes, less harmful replacement products or the optimisation of your water purification.
