INDUSTRIAL PARTNER PUTS VITOFOAMTM ON THE MARKET

Major, complex bone defects caused by trauma or tumours can often take a very long time to heal. The growth process of bone tissue, however, can be accelerated by implanting biocompatible carrier structures on which bone cells can grow. VITO recently developed ultra-porous implant materials for bone repair under the name VITOFOAMTM. An industrial partner is now handling the CE marking necessary to bring the technology to the European market.
