ENERGYVILLE: THE MODEL FOR SUSTAINABLE BUILDING
Smart electricity networks and intelligent living are important features of the Green Urban Region that Flanders intends to be by 2020. They also constitute the research focus of EnergyVille, the new research centre that VITO and K.U.Leuven will soon construct in Waterschei (Genk) together with a group of partners. EnergyVille is intended to be not only the heart of Flemish energy research; the designers of the site also wish to set a good example with regards to energy efficiency.
