For one fourth, VITO was regarded as ‘the top choice. The Flemish business community associates VITO in the first place with high quality knowledge and expertise, technological innovation, competent employees and independence and objectivity. With respect to the expectations regarding technological support: high quality knowledge and expertise as well as practically applicable solutions are at the top of the list. Existing customers cite precisely these elements as the added value provided by VITO. Many would also be prepared to recommend VITO to other third parties, as a valued and trusted partner. The study also indicated that in its external communication, VITO should pay more attention to the specific content of its activities.
VITO is also well known for providing policy-relevant information and support to Regional, National and European governments. In this, VITO has an established track record in providing relevant economic and social information to policy-making authorities at all levels.
