Analyse earth observation data in your own format
Earth Observation (EO) missions, such as SPOT-VEGETATION and PROBA-V, have acquired an invaluable time-series of data, which will grow extremely in the next years due to the increased spatial resolution of the planned missions. But already today, these data remain largely underexploited because of the huge amount of data involved, the lack of intuitive tools and the expertise required to extract information out of these complex data. However many societal challenges (Climate Change, Food security, biodiversity, etc) can benefit from exploring these data.
To tackle this need, VITO TAP develops an infrastructure where both EO-data experts and non-experts can perform customised analyses on the data. Key requirements for this solution are to focus on widely accepted open-standards (e.g. WPS, SOS) and to integrate it with the current Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) to discover, view and download EO-data and derived products.
