Project Objectives
Set up an operational service for the discovery, viewing, access, delivery and the support of all products generated in the GEOLAND2 project.
Methodology
- Set up and operate a centralized Geoland discovery portal as the unique access point for all stakeholders to search, view, order and access both spatial data and information on services, organizations etc. related to the GEOLAND 2 project.
- Support the stakeholders in the use of the portal by setting up a first-line help desk.
- Provide well defined ICD’s to enable integration and support the data providers in developing connectors to the portal.
Expected Results
An operational service for discovery and dissemination of spatial data.
VITO Contribution
- Management of the SDI task within the Geoland2 project.
- Establishing SDI requirements.
- Operations of the Geoland2 Expert Portal and centralised SDI components.
- Support to Geoland2 service providers in setting up discovery, view, download and ordering services.
