Workshop meeting on GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
current state and future challenges in Belgium

This workshop wants to bring together stakeholders, government representatives and researchers from Flanders and Wallonia around the topic of shallow and deep geothermal applications in Belgium. The meeting is organized in the framework of the European Interreg IVC GEO.POWER project. This project wants to promote geothermal energy through the exchange of practices between member states and to stimulate the development of a long-term investment strategy.
With this workshop we want to give the onset of a comprehensive document that on the one hand summarizes the main issues, needs and challenges for the development of geothermal energy applications in Belgium and on the other hand presents suggestions for a regional action plan.
