VITO hosts European CARMOF project meeting on CCS

In light of growing concern about CO2 emissions, the CARMOF project develops CCS technologies that make carbon capture efficient and cost-effective.

The project is a collaborative effort of European industrial and academic partners to design innovative CO2 adsorbing materials at nanoscale (such as CNTs and MOFs) and 3D print them into larger adsorbing units for demonstration at industrial facilities, reaching a higher technology readiness level.

Having started in January 2018, the project is now in full swing: it is funded under the European Commission's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
